County of Manatee recently issued the following announcement.
Thanks to a cooperative agreement between Manatee County Government and the School District of Manatee County, dozens of additional parking spaces will be available to Spring Breakers arriving by car next week in the parking lot of Anna Maria Elementary School.
The agreement – finalized earlier this week – grants the County use of the parking lot during Manatee Public Schools Spring break March 12-20.
Signs advertising “Free Public Beach Parking – Dawn to Dusk” will direct drivers to the lot, located at 4700 Gulf Drive in Holmes Beach.
The agreement also provides for beach parking later in 2022. Reminders will be published before those dates during Memorial Day Weekend (May 28-30), Fourth of July Weekend (July 2-4) and Labor Day Weekend (September 3-5).
