Mark your calendars for FITFest Manatee 2023—a celebration of healthy lifestyles in one of Manatee County’s most inviting natural settings—Saturday, February 18, 2023, at the NEST at Robinson Preserve. Early Bird registration for the 5K run and walk is now open.

After a stunning debut in 2022, this showcase of local businesses and active opportunities introduces some of Manatee County’s most popular fitness and leisure-time options in an amazing venue. Event entry and classes are all free but pre-registration is required for the 5K portion of the festival. Beginning at the Mosaic Center for Nature, Exploration, Science and Technology (NEST), participants will walk, run or stroll around waterways, over wooden bridges and up a scenic rise to look out over Tampa Bay.

While the 5K race is slated for an 8:30 a.m. start, a one-mile walk and stroll course will be available beginning at 7 a.m.—just in time for sunrise! That course also will be accessible after the 5K race takes place. A Bootcamp with Ray Gardner of Prosper Bradenton will help athletes warm up at 7:30 a.m.

Following the 5K run and awards, Yoga with Phil of American Yogi will help participants stretch out at 10 a.m.

Following the mainstage events, visitors can choose their own adventure with scheduled workshops/specialty classes, such as paddleboard and more . . . . From Mr. Bongos DJing on the main stage to lawn activities, grabbing a healthy lunch or shopping local vendors in the marketplace, there is plenty to do after the morning workout(s).

All activity levels are welcome to participate in this day full of fitness, fun and food.
