CSX has recently announced another track maintenance project that will impact Green Cove Springs mid to late February.
Railroad crossings will be closed for a period of three to five days for the work, with detours for vehicles at each railroad crossing.
Here are the crossing locations and dates for temporary closure:
Houston Street, Walburg Street, Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, Center Street – February 15
Oak Street, Green Cove Avenue – February 21

Detectives from the Manatee Homicide Investigation Unit have concluded that a recent incident at a home in the 8200 block of Pavia Way, Lakewood Ranch, was a double homicide followed by a suicide.
Jose Aguilar has been arrested by the Hardee County Sheriff’s Office and is currently being held at the Hardee County Jail.
Community Service Officer Oscar Aguero-Yovera has been recognized as the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office Employee of the Month for January 2026.
