Spring 2023 registration is open for all new and returning students at State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF). Classes begin Monday, Jan. 9, at SCF Bradenton, SCF Lakewood Ranch, SCF Venice and online. Students can benefit from financial aid, schedule flexibility and dedicated college and career success coaches while working toward an Associate in Arts, Associate in Science, bachelor’s degree or workforce certificate. Registration is available at My.SCF.edu for existing students. New students must apply online at SCF.edu.

SCF’s two-year and four-year degrees and certificate programs are designed to meet the workforce needs of Manatee and Sarasota counties. Credits earned at SCF are transferable to any public university in Florida.

SCF offers many scheduling and course delivery options, which allow students to study at their own pace without compromising their work or family obligations. Options include:

  • Go Live with SCF Online, providing live instruction via video conferences enabling students to experience face-to-face learning from convenient locations.
  • Weekend College, for students with weekday obligations, offering classes on Friday evenings and Saturdays.
  • Flex Start courses that start at various times throughout the semester, including one 12-week session, two eight-week sessions and three five-week sessions.

Tuition at SCF is significantly less than the cost of public universities, private colleges and for-profit institutions. While the cost of education has surged nationwide, the cost of a credit hour at SCF has not changed in more than a decade. Several forms of financial aid, including scholarships, grants and payment plans, are available to help students manage their college expenses.

For more information, to register or to apply, call 941-752-5050, text 941-304-5443, or visit SCF.edu.
