On January 28, 2025, Buchanan expressed support for a resolution introduced by Rep. Moolenaar to designate a week as “National School Choice Week.” He stated: “Proud to join @RepMoolenaar’s resolution to designate this week as ‘National School Choice Week.’ Florida is leading the way in expanding school choice and putting parents in the driver’s seat of their kids’ education. That’s why we’re ranked number one for education freedom!”
The following day, January 29, he announced his collaboration with Rep. Donalds on a legislative initiative titled the No Tax on Tips Act.
