Buchanan noted his long-standing friendship with Gruters, tweeting, “Congratulations to my friend @JoeGruters for his appointment to President Trump’s Homeland Security Advisory Council! I’ve had the honor of knowing Joe for over 20 years and am confident he will help @POTUS and @Sec_Noem Make America Safe Again.”
