The Educator Preparation Institute (EPI) at SCF will host a virtual information session Wednesday, June 8, 6-7 p.m. for individuals interested in earning a professional teaching certificate. The program is for anyone with a bachelor’s degree in a non-education major and teachers with temporary certificates.
During this free one-hour session, attendees will learn about the application process, curriculum and courses, and program requirements.
EPI offers blended evening classes with online components one night a week over three semesters to make participation accessible to working professionals. The cost for the EPI program is about $2,800. Upon completing the EPI program and successfully passing required state exams, graduates are eligible for the Florida Department of Education’s professional teaching certificate.
