SCF Offers Hybrid Class to Prepare Educators for Math Portion of General Knowledge Test

State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF) Lifelong Learning and Workforce Development will offer a class to aspiring educators as they get ready to take the math subtest of the General Knowledge Test (GKT). The workshop will be held 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays, January 14-February 4 at SCF Lakewood Ranch, 7131 Professional Parkway, Sarasota. Students also have the option to attend remotely with Microsoft Teams. The fee is $119.

The GKT assesses the knowledge and skills of candidates who seek teaching certification. The math portion of the test features approximately 40 questions, and testers are allowed 100 minutes to complete. Students will gain an understanding of the types of problems that appear on the test and practice solving them.
