A Code Compliance Special Magistrate Hearing will be held on Wednesday, August 19, 2020 beginning at 10:00 a.m.  The Hearings will be held at the Holmes Beach City Commission Chambers, 5801 Marina Dr, Holmes Beach, FL 34217 and also via Zoom.   Access via Zoom is as follows:

Notice to all Respondents

Subject:    Special Magistrate Hearing on Wednesday August 19, 2020 at 10:00 AM

All Respondents have been previously ordered to appear before the Special Magistrate on Wednesday August 29, 2020 at 10:00 AM. The hearing will be held at City Hall, located at 5801 Marina Drive, Holmes Beach, Florida 34217.

Because of ongoing Covid-19 concerns, the hearing will be a hybrid form of in person, with proper social distancing and face masks, and an option to appear via Zoom if you are not able to appear in person.

 If you chose to appear in person, we will schedule a time that you can come into City Hall to respond to your violation and present any evidence that you wish to submit. We will schedule one respondent at a time and once your case is presented, you will be asked to leave City Hall.

 If you are not able to attend and you wish to have someone appear on your behalf, you will need to advise us who will be appearing and we will assign them a time to come into City Hall.

 If you are not able to appear in person or have someone appear on your behalf, you may attend the hearing via Zoom. You will receive an invitation to attend the hearing once we receive your notice that you chose the Zoom option to appear. If you chose this option and you wish to present evidence, YOU MUST BE PREPARED TO IMMEDIATELY SCAN, EMAIL OR SHOW YOUR EVIDENCE VIA ZOOM. Your Zoom invitation will include a recommended time to join the hearing. You are also welcome to join in and listen to the entire hearing via Zoom.

 Please contact Code Compliance to advise how you wish to appear. Your selection must be submitted by 5:00 PM on Monday August 17, 2020.

Appearances will be scheduled in 15 minute blocks starting at 12:00 PM and ending at 2:00 PM. Please remember that if you chose to appear in person, you must wear a face mask and follow proper social distancing.

Since you may appear in person or via Zoom, no cases will be continued due to Covid-19.
