City of Holmes Beach issued the following announcement.
The first Special Budget Hearing will be held on Thursday, September 10, 2020 beginning at 6:00 p.m. The next Regular City Commission Regular Meeting will immediately follow the Budget Hearing. No Work Session will be held.
As provided for by the Governor's EXECUTIVE ORDER NUMBER 20-69, and extensions hereto relating to TELECONFERENCING MEETINGS, the September 10, 2020 City Commission Regular Meeting and the City Commission Budget Work Session will be held via ZOOM teleconferencing.
Due to the Novel Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) and Federal, State, County, and the City's Declarations of State of Emergency, the City of Holmes Beach will be calling the City Commission meetings only when necessary and the public meetings will be conducted using communications media technology until the Emergency Order is lifted. Members of the public and the media wishing to participate in the meeting are authorized to join the meeting through electronic means. Persons wishing to participate in a meeting may do so by using the following call-in information:

General public comment unrelated to an item on the agenda will be handled as follows:
Send an email no later than 30 minutes before the start of the meeting to: cityclerk@holmesbeachfl.org; If the request is timely received, the Mayor or her designee will read the public comment at the meeting.
The Chair of the meeting shall also be authorized to ask for public comment during the meeting at the appropriate time.
Comments about items on the agenda will be solicited and heard during the meeting by communications media technology. See directions above for call-in information.

Consistent with Section 286.0105, Florida Statutes, if a person decides to appeal any decision made by the City Commission with respect to any matter considered at such meeting or hearing, he or she will need a record of the proceedings, and for such purpose, he or she may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which record includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based.
