State College of Florida-Manatee-Sarasota issued the following announcement on Sept. 14.
State College of Florida Collegiate School (SCFCS) is excited to announce that 10th grade English Language Arts instructor Kristin Goddard has received a Fulbright Teachers for Global Classrooms Program award. As a Fulbright recipient, Goddard will share knowledge and foster meaningful connections across communities in the U.S. and abroad.
“I am honored to represent the SCF Collegiate School in the Fulbright Teachers for Global Classrooms Program,” said Goddard. “This experience will directly impact my work in the classroom as I aim to globalize my curriculum and encourage international collaboration. I am excited to share what I learn with my professional community and increase our school's global awareness and influence.”
As the U.S. government’s primary international educational exchange program, the Fulbright Program has offered cultural exchange programs for scholars and professionals to study, teach or pursue critical research and projects since 1946. Fulbright alumni include 60 Nobel Prize laureates, 89 Pulitzer Prize recipients and 39 who have served as a head of state or government.
