Edward Waters Announces Reduced Capacity at Athletics Events

Edward Waters College Athletics issued the following announcement on Sept. 22.

Edward Waters University (EWU) continues to adhere to all recommended regulations and guidelines from government authorities related to the containment of COVID-19. The institution continues to monitor the Coronavirus and practice safety for all members of the EWU community. Due to the increase in reported cases in the state of Florida and particularly, Duval County, the EWU administration has reevaluated operations for the remainder of the fall 2021 semester and the start of the spring 2022 semester.

Effective immediately, all athletic events, including remaining football contests this season will be reduced to 50% capacity.

Tickets for the football games are required to be purchased in advance online at EWCTigerPride.com/Tickets. Online ticket sales will be discontinued at the time of kickoff each game. Tickets will not be sold at the gate at the stadium.

Student tickets can be downloaded at no cost. The schedule of remaining home games and ticketing instructions can be found at https://ewc.hometownticketing.com/embed/event/5.

Tailgating and vendor sales outside of the Glover Community Field and Stadium have been suspended.

Masks and physical distancing continue to be requirements for all in person events. Additionally, temperature checks will be conducted for all attendees.

All upcoming homecoming activities will also be reduced to up to 50% of the event location capacity. Tickets will go on sale on Friday, September 24, 2021.
