Manatee County Sheriff's Office recently issued the following announcement.
Earlier this year, Victim Advocate Michell Joyce was assigned to a battery case. During her investigation, she learned the victim had an adult daughter with mental disabilities. It
came to Michell’s attention that the victim had been recently unable to find her daughter, so Michell took it upon herself to help the family locate her. She took a picture of the
daughter to One Stop and the Salvation Army, and after two weeks of searching and keeping in touch with the family, their daughter was located and they were reunited.
For her compassionate efforts to help a devastated family find their daughter, Michell Joyce has been named MCSO's Employee of the Month for December 2021.
