Virtual

State College of Florida-Manatee-Sarasota recently issued the following announcement.

State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF) is offering more than 400 Flex Start classes in the spring semester. These classes offer the same course material and credits as

traditional 16-week classes while providing students with flexibility to attend college while maintaining family and work commitments. Available start dates for Spring 2022 include

Jan. 10, Feb. 7 and 14, and March 14 and 28.

Enrollment is open for 12-week, eight-week and five-week classes allowing students to take college credit courses when they can, they way they want. Some students complete

multiple classes each semester on accelerated timelines to avoid having too many classes at once. Another opportunity for students is the to pick up a Flex Start Class during the

semester when timing is more convenient than it may have been when the semester first started.

All SCF classes are available online and through Go Live with SCF Online, SCF’s online learning option featuring live interaction with professors and classmates, as well as in

person at campuses in Bradenton, Lakewood Ranch and Venice. The courses are also offered at multiple times, including evenings and weekends, to allow students the flexibility

to learn whenever their schedule allows. Students can earn credits applicable to any of SCF’s associate in arts and associate in science degrees, workforce certificates and

bachelor’s degrees. Financial aid is also available in the forms of grants, scholarships, payment plans, federal work study and loans.
