What is the construction work being done in the parking lot?
The City is replacing the failing storm pipe in the shopping center from Marina Drive to Holmes Blvd.
Can I drive through the parking lot?
The parking lot will remain open with some closures or re-routing as pipe work is completed. The area will be restored daily for vehicular traffic except for the immediate work area which will be barricaded off.
How long is the project going to last?
The pipe work will be completed in approximately two weeks. The restoration of the asphalt may take a little longer depending on contractor scheduling.
Will the flooding in the area be improved?
This is a pipe replacement project which will improve the longevity of the storm system. The pipes are not being upsized to maintain current approvals. The current drainage flow will be maintained.
