32 percent of applicants to the University of South Florida-Sarasota-Manatee were admitted for fall 2018

At the University of South Florida-Sarasota-Manatee, 56 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 61 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year public institution in Sarasota enrolled 2,069 students in fall 2018, including 1,917 in undergraduate and 152 in graduate programs, data shows. 18.3 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

96 percent of undergraduates are residents of Florida, and 4 percent are residents of other states.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (67 percent) and Hispanic or Latino (16 percent).

The school admitted 32 percent of the 771 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 45 percent enrolled.
