Tigers return to track at KMS Invitational

Edward Waters College recently issued the following announcement.

The EWU Indoor Men's Track & Field squad returned to the track after a holiday hiatus at the KMS Invitational at the Birmingham CrossPlex on Sunday.

Jourdan Bell, led the Tigers efforts on the track with a second place finish in the Men's 60m Hurdles, finishing in a time of 8.39s, just .23s behind the first place finisher. Jamal Bouie 

finished in 15th place in the Men's 200m at 22.79s. The EWU 4x200M relay "A" team of Jamal Bouie, Andrew Powers, Ny'Kai Evelyn, and Samuel Israel finished in fifth place in the 

event at 1:34.56. The "B" team of Jordan Matthews, Keion Augustin, Malik Collins, and Willie Williams finished in eighth position at 1:43.72.

In the field, Samuel Israel had a top 20 finish in the Men's Long Jump, finishing in 19th place at 6.18m (20' 3.5"). Van Franklin finished in 23rd place in the Men's Shot Put at 9.26m 

(30' 4.75") and 19th in the Men's Weight Throw at 8.04m (26' 4.5").

The Tigers will continue their indoor slate at the South Carolina Invitational hosted by the University of South Carolina in Columbia, next Saturday and Sunday.
