English for College and Communication, an intensive program to prepare students to reach the language level necessary for acceptance into State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF), will be offered at SCF Venice this fall. The course will take place Monday through Thursday, Sept. 19-Dec. 15, from 9 a.m.-noon at SCF Venice, 8000 S. Tamiami Trail, Venice. The cost is $750 per person. The English for College and Communication program is specifically designed for those who plan to attend college at SCF; however, the course is also open for anyone who wants to learn or improve English comprehension. This is an academic skills class that includes homework, tests, and required attendance. A free test of your English comprehension and communication skills is necessary prior to starting the class.
