Rep. Vern Buchanan, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Florida’s 16th district, has been active on social media, addressing various issues through his tweets. His posts cover topics ranging from congressional censure to FEMA's actions and daylight saving time legislation.

On March 6, 2025, Rep. Buchanan commented on the formal censure of Rep. Al Green by the House of Representatives. He noted that "Today, 10 Democrats joined with every single House Republican in voting to formally censure Rep. Al Green for repeatedly shouting and shaking his cane at President Trump during his Joint Address to Congress on Tuesday." He posed a question to his followers about whether they agreed with the decision.

The following day, March 7, 2025, he reported significant developments concerning FEMA's response to disaster relief in Florida. In a tweet, he stated that "FEMA announced that it FIRED three supervisors following my letter demanding answers after pro-Trump homes in Florida were denied disaster relief." Buchanan emphasized FEMA's duty to provide equal service irrespective of political affiliations.

Later that same day, Buchanan addressed the topic of daylight saving time in another tweet. He reminded constituents about the upcoming clock change and advocated for legislative action by saying "It’s past time for Congress to stop the outdated practice of changing the clock by passing my bill with @SenRickScott to make daylight saving time permanent!"
