Manatee County issued the following announcement on Sept. 23.
Manatee County’s Parks and Natural Resources Department invites the public to celebrate Halloween in a safe and fun-filled environment during the 19th annual Goblin Gathering.
The festival will be held from 6 - 8:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 15, at GT Bray Park. The event is free. Wristbands for children to participate in activities will be sold for $5. Cash only payments will be accepted.
There will be a costume contest, face painting, and bounce houses. The $5 wristband will be sold for children to participate in activities. Parental participation and trick-or-treating is free. Food vendors will have food for purchase. Several local businesses will pass out “treats & sweets” to participants, providing a safe alternative for children to trick-or-treat.
PARKING AND DIRECTIONS
G.T. Bray Park is located at 5502 33rd Avenue Drive West in Bradenton. Goblin Gathering visitors may access G.T. Bray Park via 59th St. W. or 51st St. W. and are asked to park near the Recreation Center.
