Manatee County is now accepting applications for three open seats on the Children’s Services Advisory Board (CSAB). The volunteer board makes recommendations to the Board of County Commissioners about priorities and expenditures of the County’s dedicated millage for children’s services.
The CSAB typically meets on the third Wednesday of each month at 3 p.m. in the Manatee County Administrative Center, 1112 Manatee Ave. W., Bradenton. The board meets weekly during the annual program funding review process and a full-day retreat in October each year.
To qualify for consideration, applicants must be residents of Manatee County. The following open seats in the CSAB are for three-year terms that begin October 1:
- One Child Advocate, not affiliated with any agency receiving County funds
- One Criminal Justice Representative
- One Physician
Applications must be submitted by Friday, July 29, at 12 p.m. (noon), and include 1) Advisory Board Application, 2) Children’s Services Advisory Board Supplemental Questions (Page 4 of the Advisory Board Application), and 3) a resume or a Curriculum Vitae (CV).
