City of Green Cove Springs issued the following announcement on Aug. 26
In honor of Florida Lineman Appreciation Day, the City would like to recognize our Electric Department Crew. These men are the ones constantly behind the scenes making sure that tree limbs are kept trim around power lines and poles, keeping the City’s electric lines maintained, providing their expertise and assistance to contractors working on infrastructure improvements to expand the resilience and capacity of the City’s electric grid, and, most importantly, riding out anytime during the day or night in any weather to restore power during outages. We’re proud of all the work they do every day to keep Green Cove Springs running!
