Manatee FITFest bringing 5k, fitness and yoga to Robinson Preserve

Fitfest logo

County of Manatee recently issued the following announcement.

Mark your calendars for a day of healthy lifestyle opportunities – and a brand-new 5K race – on March 5, 2022 at Robinson Preserve.

The inaugural Manatee FITFest event – an outdoor showcase of local businesses and active opportunities – provides an introduction to the area’s popular fitness and healthy lifestyle opportunities. Event entry and classes are all free but pre-registration is required for the 5K portion of the festival.

Beginning at the Mosaic Center for Nature, Exploration, Science and Technology (NEST), participants will walk, run or stroll around waterways, over wooden bridges and up a scenic rise to look out over Tampa Bay. To register for the 5K and claim your dri-fit event T shirt visit: runsignup.com/manateefitfest

While the race begins at 9 a.m., there are plenty of other activities – from yoga to bootcamp training and even a DJ – to keep everybody moving all day long. Following the mainstage events, you can choose your own adventure by partaking in other scheduled bonus classes like hooping, HIIT, acro-yoga, paddleboard and more!

Participants of all ages and fitness levels are welcome to participate in this day of health, mindfulness, food and music!

Here’s the event schedule:

  • 7:30 a.m. Sign your waiver and drop your mat
  • 8:00 a.m. BOOTCAMP with Anna Neal
  • 9:00 a.m. Run or Walk the 5K (Pre-Registration Required)
  • 10:30 a.m. YOGA with American Yogi
  • 11:15 a.m. REST with Ria Ray
  • 11:45 a.m. Grab lunch
  • 12:00 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. Drop into a bonus class, shop the marketplace or relax under the banyan
