Manatee County Commissioners recognized two members of the Information Outreach team for first-place accolades in the National Association of Government Communicators (NAGC) annual Blue Pencil & Gold Screen Awards.
The Blue Pencil & Gold Screen Awards are an annual international awards program recognizing superior government communication products and those who produce them. More than 90 local, county, state, tribal and federal agencies were recognized for excellence in government communications in the 2022 awards program. Video Production Specialist Casey Zempel accepted the first-place award in the Video – Promotional/Informational Category highlighting Manatee County’s Employee of the Year - Patricia Adams.
Graphic Designer Amanda Hengst was honored with a first-place award for her work on the 2022 #OnlyInManatee Calendar, created in-house, to highlight the unique beauty of Manatee County while engaging the public in sharing photos for possible inclusion in the calendar.
“We are so fortunate to have these top-notch communications professionals working with us,” said Manatee County Administrator Scott Hopes. “Their efforts are helping to enlighten, engage and encourage our residents and visitors—showing all that is happening here in Manatee County.”
